О.8), поскольку каждый индивид в рамках бюджетного ограничения стремится распределить свой доход между разными потребительскими благами таким образом, чтобы максимизировать полезность. Полезность, следовательно, выступает здесь критерием оптимального распределения ресурсов в условиях, когда рыночные цены и доход индивида заданы извне.
